Statement on Academic Integrity

The Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University is dedicated to exploring the scientific foundations of the interaction between individuals, business, and government to improve well-being for individuals and society. As such, the Center is committed to producing research, materials, analysis, and commentary that are of the highest academic quality and utmost accuracy.

To ensure these characteristics are maintained, we are committed to an uncompromising and rigorous process for how we select research topics, seek feedback from peers, and administer our own internal reviews.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University receives funding from foundations, grants, corporations, and individuals. These gifts are greatly appreciated, and are vital to the Center’s efforts to fund projects, events, deliverables, and activities that further the mission of the organization.

As an organization-wide policy, the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University will not accept any financial contributions or gifts that are given with the expectation of favorable results, opinions, commentary, analysis or preferential treatment. Donors who give to the Center are given absolutely no control or decision-making rights over projects, activities, events, or research. Donors understand that they will have no direct involvement with projects, including any and all aspects of a project’s methodology, structure, content, or outcomes.

We are committed to periodically reviewing these policies to ensure that the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University is meeting the ideals set forth in its mission — especially with regards to the quality, accuracy, and transparency of the Center's research, projects, and activities.
